I was out showing houses this weekend and found a time capsule house! A time capsule house is one that was built (or renovated) long ago and has remained exactly as it was – no changes! This house is vacant, but the old phone was still hanging on the wall. The carpet from the early 70s . . . still there. The folding doors were still hung to separate the living space, and all the kitchen appliances were in tact and working! Every single room in the entire house still has the wood paneling covering the walls.
I took several pictures of the oven. Its built into the wall and has something interesting under it that I can’t identify. Anyone know what this is?
Here are more pics of this really neat old house.
My favorite picture is the phone on the wall. If the service were connected to the house it would still work! The new owner may get to call their new neighbors by dialing the rotary! I used a phone just like this when I was little, except ours was avocado green! Do these conjure up memories from the past for you?
